Ohio Drivers are Refusing DUI Breath Test
April 7, 2015
According to an article written by Jona Ison and published in the Newark Advocate more Ohio Drivers are refusing to take Breath Tests when they are pulled over. According to the article in 2013 there were nearly 83,000 Ohioans under an administrative license suspension and 54 percent of those were for refusing a breath test. Refusing a breath test will result in a longer administrative license suspension and also may make it harder to get driving privileges, but not having the breath test is one less piece of evidence for the state to use at trial. See my OVI FAQ for more details regarding refusing the breath test.
